A Flower Revolution is a self-published illustrated poetry book with a journaling page at the end.
This collection presents 32 poems written between 2018 and late 2024 as a way to unravel to confusion, the pains, and the joys of relationshiping with people in your early twenties. A journey and an experience that has felt like a beautiful flower revolution from within.
This is the perfect gift to a friend or family member who is going through their very own flower revolution, who already has, or who may have in the past.
This is a message of hope. Hope that the confusion and the pain do not last, but leave you with lessons that help you grow and love better. It's not just my story, but also that of many beautiful people I have met along the way: friends and strangers who held me when I needed it most by sharing their own stories and wisdom with me. So now, these poems are yours!
I hope this collection brings you comfort and inspiration along your journey!
Born to an Irish father and a French mother, Léna grew up mostly in France. Bilingual from home and school, she discovered her love for poetry in English classes while preparing for her GCSEs.
She wrote her first poem at sixteen - not for homework, but to make sense of the confusing emotions, social pressures, and self-discovery of adolescence. Writing has stuck with her ever since, never with the intention to share, but rather to unravel and untangle the many emotions one can go through in life.
Outside poetry, Léna studies an MSc Tourism and Sustainability in Sweden. She loves the outdoors, adventure, and travelling. Yet the most important part of every experience is the poeple she share it with. Naturally, her writing blends stories about relationships and nature-inspired metaphors. Flowers hold a central place in this book, conveying what words alone cannot.
