Poétesse dans sa jeunesse, après avoir tardivement repris des études littéraires, Colette Becuzzi est revenue à l'écriture. L'art étant son domaine de prédilection, elle s'est aussi adonnée à la peinture. Elle a notamment publié une collection de 13 histoires pour enfants qu'elle a elle-même illustré.
