Drôle de gamme (Bizarre, Bizarre), the first book published by La Muse en Circuit editions, naturally pays homage to the organization's founder. Luc Ferrari is at the heart of this most unusual photo-novel, with its political, poetic and philosophical dimensions. Resolutely whimsy and quirky, this post-Situationist adventure depicts a fictional bout between two caricatural alter egos of Luc Ferrari and Pierre Boulez, the latter being played by the idiosyncratic musician Jac Berrocal. The cameo appearance of the late linguist Alain Rey, in the part of a music-loving police inspector, is one of the many witticisms that run through this unconventional and deeply humorous work.
