In Blue, Cherry Zeng Dongping transforms the smallest gestures (a glance, the sent of shiso, light falling across a step, a breath in the night) into moments of inner revelation. Her poems move along the threshold of dream, memory, and existential vertigo. Here, time becomes a living substance, at time gentle, at times unsettling, while love, absence, and solitude pass through the landscapes of everyday life like flashes of light in the darkness. With writing of exquisite delicacy, Cherry Zeng Dongping creates a poetry of sensation and metamorphosis. Each poem seems to seek that fragile place where simple words still contain the infinite. Moving between silence, wandering, and the search for the self, Blue is a collection of rare intensity - a book that is not merely read, but continues to dwell within the reader long after its pages have been opened.
